When it comes to exhibitions, it is all about making a great impression on your market. You want to look as good as possible, and your stand needs to look great and carry a strong message. Of course the flip side of this is that you don’t want to blow a large proportion of your budget on some stands when you don’t really know the value of the exhibition itself.

A lot depends on who is running the entire exhibition, but advertising plays a huge part on their behalf. Remember that no matter how hard you prepare for an event like this, there is no guarantee that the work you put in will result in new clients. You can only do your best to impress the people that come, but if the event is badly organized, then you might not get quite as much new business as you had hoped for. That’s not to say that these events are not worth going in for. On the contrary, you should always be looking for new opportunities to promote your company, but you just need to box clever in terms of the costs so that you don’t lose out financially.

One way to do this is to hire your displays rather than purchase them outright. You might be surprised to learn this, but usually exhibition stand hire service is less than purchasing outright. This means that you can save a big load of money by hiring the displays for your work, rather than buying something that will cost you a lot more and you probably won’t get much use out of.

Look at things this way. If you are new to exhibitions, and don’t yet know what sort of impact they are going to have on your business, this is a great way to test the water. If the exhibition is a huge success, then great. You can book yourself in for more trade shows, and it will then be up to you to decide whether or not it is worth you having a permanent display that you actually own or not. If through the experience of attending an exhibition you don’t feel like it is something that works for your business, then you have not bought a display stand that you don’t know what to do with, and you have saved yourself a bit of money to boot.

The only way to be sure is to give an exhibition a go. A lot of businesses find that it is a great way to speak to potential clients, and it is an even better way to find out from existing clients what you can do to make your business an even better tool for them. Whatever you decide to do, we would always recommend hiring some display stands, just to give you the flexibility to decide for yourself whether or not you think exhibitions and trade shows are something that can work for you. You should give a few of them a go, just to make sure you aren’t missing out on something that can really help your business.

If you are looking to advertise your business at a conference, or exhibition then having an attractive looking exhibition stand is essential in order to stand out from the crowd. Yes, there are many pre-made stands out there in the market, just waiting to be tweaked for your business, but when you sit down and think about it, is this really going to make you stand out?

The realistic answer to the question is no, it’s not, that is why it is always worth investing in custom, purpose built exhibition stands when you want to really grab peoples attention.

The one major concern that many businesses tend to have when investing in such a display is without doubt the cost. It’s true that having custom built exhibition stands is going to cost a significant amount more than an average, run of the mill or mass produced stand. However like many advertising investments, you do need to speculate to accumulate – especially when the competition is tough.

Imagine yourself in a busy exhibition or trade show, surrounded by your competitors, sure, you will attract some passers by, but imagine the amount more if your stand was eye catching and unique. You would certainly stand more chance of attracting more attention and ultimately have more sales opportunities on the back of it!

Although it is the case that nobody knows the core of a business more than its owners, at times designers who have experience in the field can have crucial input when it comes to the design and customization of the stand – they may even come up with ideas that you wouldn’t have thought. Perhaps more crucially though, they will have the ideas that will work!

So next time you are going to exhibit your business in a trade show, strongly consider having custom build exhibition stands instead of the ready made option!
